topicImages can be resized dynamically on HTML pages by setting the height and width properties of the <img> tag appropriately. For example, the following GIF is copied from the Citect web site header.
The original is 800 pixels wide x 10 pixels high. It is a graduated image with vertical lines throughout.
By adjusting the width of the image, the spacing between the vertical lines vary to form various optical effects.
